Chocolate chip cookies

These cookies are everything a chocolate chip cookie should be: crispy, chewy, doughy and sweet.

INGREDIENTS

½ cup butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon white sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 190°.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
  3. In a bowl whisk together the butter, sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the egg, the salt and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and stir to combine.
  6. Add the chocolate chips, and mix them in to the dough.
  7. Roll 1 tablespoon of dough at a time into balls and place them on the baking tray, about 5 cm apart.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
  9. Let them sit on the baking tray for 10 minutes before removing.
  10. Taste and share.

Do not over-mix the ingredients. Do not overbake!
