Why Should You Consider Volunteering Abroad?

Turma 9.º D | 03-12-2025

Volunteering abroad offers an inspiring and empowering experience for young people who want to help, learn and develop.

If I could volunteer abroad, I’d go to Mexico.
I would like to help families who lost their homes after storms.
I could help build small houses, organise food donations and play with the children.
I think it would be hard work, but it would also feel really good to know I’m helping someone start again.
Rodrigo Mourão

If I could volunteer in another country, I would choose to go to Costa Rica. I’d like to help protect the rainforest, because it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world and home to so many animals.
I would plant more trees, clean trails and assist in caring for injured wildlife. I think it would be an amazing opportunity to learn about nature and meet people who also care about the planet. It would be hard work, but totally worth it.
Rafaela Abreu

What I would like to do is participate in a marine conservation project, helping to monitor coral reefs and the coastline. I would like to protect the marine ecosystems, especially turtles and other endangered species.
I would choose this project because I have a passion for the ocean and I want to do my part to protect wildlife. It would be both a learning opportunity and a meaningful experience.
Tiago Silva

If I had the chance to do volunteer work abroad, I would like to help children in need.
I would love to go to South Korea, because it’s a place I’ve always wanted to explore. I would volunteer in schools or community centres, helping kids learn languages and supporting their education.
Helping young people grow would make the experience meaningful.
Luísa Flores

If I had the opportunity to volunteer, I would like to volunteer in an orphanage to take care of the children because I know it’s difficult to live without a family, so I would like to take care of them and make them happy.
Gonçalo Pereira

My name is Eloah and I am 14 years old.
I would like to do volunteer work in Italy, especially in the healthcare field.
I want to help people and learn how hospitals and clinics operate in another country. I also want to learn about Italian culture, meet new people and improve my English while helping others.
Eloah de Andrade Matias

I would like to volunteer in Kenya, helping children in rural schools. I would take part in education and tutoring projects, teaching English and encouraging reading. I would also participate in community activities to support local families.
It would be a meaningful way to learn from the local culture and make a positive difference.
