Feel My Voice Movie Review

Luísa Alves Flores, 9.º D | 18-05-2026

Feel My Voice, a remake of the celebrated 2014 French film La Famille Bélier, marks the acting debut of singer Sarah Toscano.

Eletta’s life takes an unexpected turn when a teacher discovers her extraordinary singing voice.

Feel My Voice is a beautiful drama directed by Luca Ribuoli, released in 2026. The movie takes place in Turin, Italy. The main character is Eletta Musso, a 16-year-old hearing girl who lives with a deaf family.

In the movie, Eletta discovers that she has a hidden talent for singing. She struggles a lot because she has to balance her duties as her family’s interpreter with her dream of having a music career. This leads to emotional decisions about her independence. The film has a great cast, including Sarah Toscano and Serena Rossi. I have already watched this movie two times!

What makes the movie interesting is its focus on family dynamics, the tension between duty and personal ambition, and how authentic the characters feel.

The best part is definitely the end of the movie. Eletta goes to perform for an audience at Santa Cecilia, in Rome. She sings and uses sign language at the same time, so her deaf family can finally “hear” her passion.

When the movie ended, I felt deeply touched, nostalgic, happy, and reflective because it is a very beautiful story.

“Music is one of the important things for me in cinema.” – Guillaume Canet
